In the latest edition of the "Classic Water Towers of the Twin Cities Series" from the Franklin Mint, we feature the elegant lines and slightly deco stylings of the Highland Park Water Tower, built in 1927.
Designed by architect Frank X. Tewes, it overlooks the Highland Golf Course, the Highland Ice Arena, and the city of Highland Park. During "Highland Park Days" the tower is open for public tours, but the streets are blockaded and we can never seem to figure out how to get there.
Looking down the Infinite Fairway of the Highland Golf Course. If you can make the next tee, you are visiting East St. Paul.
