Things Kids Say to a Naturalist...

"Hurry up, we have to go everywhere!"
"Can you swallow a photon?"

"Wow, that's so cool, you get to wear an ID tag!"
"Do you live out here...?"
"Hey Mister, I think the Salamenander can't eat his dinner cause his lips are too slippery."
"I think I had one of those crotchroaches once."
"That's that aminal what lives in the moustache lodge."
"Were the dinosaurs real?"
"What are worms for?"
"What good are wood ticks?"
"When are you gonna stop tellin us stuff?!"
Child carving pumpkin at nature center: "Hey! Let's give him a uni-brow...!!!"
Child playing with binoculars at start of nature hike: "Wow, Mom! I can see your uvula!"
Father (pointing to taxidermied Loon), "Abby, which bird is this...?" Abby: "Noisy Duck! Noisy Duck!"
Parent: "So what IS the best kind of bread to feed the ducks?"
Ryan arrives with his parents for his Nature Center birthday party. I say, "Ryan, I heard it's your BIRTHDAY TODAY!" Ryan: "On the radio??!!"
I'm sitting in front of a coffee shop in Minneapolis and a random stranger walks up and says: "Hey, is your name Tim...?" Me: "Um... yes..." Random Stranger: "Yeah! You're that, that EXPLORER guy! From the Nature Center! You did my sister's birthday party!"
