A Northern Harrier blasts out of a tangle of branches during a nice morning walk on the last day of the conference. These birds are unusual for us to see, especially this way as they are usually perched in low branches or posts, and nested on the ground. Not sure how I kept him basically in focus considering the clutter of branches.
They have a dark head and face that is more "owlish" than hawklike. A first for my list. If I kept one.
