View from over Minnehaha Falls. This is actually four pictures stitched together, sort of a vertical panorama. Click on it to see it big. I always see people taking pictures here, and I wonder what they get. Seems everytime I've tried, it just doesn't do it justice. I tried to start with a fresh focus at each of the points to have a near infinite depth-of-field. Almost there. Not the best lens choice for this idea. The trees are not really blue. Maybe I'll try it again with something else.

The catkins, my friend, are blowin' in the wind. The catkins are a-blowin' in the wee-and-ah...

Quite the striking palmate shrub growing by the creek. Have to go to the books to figure out what it is. Unless you know...?

Super cool vertical panorama! I liked it so much I didn't even notice the blue trees.

This is a beautiful photo and does manage to capture the enormity of it. My favorite part is the shiny pennies. I agree a different lense would help crisp up the trees though.
You might have your first reader-ya-never-met -- I gave your URL to my dad and pointed him to this entry.
