Not a manikin to rest on his laurels, the ever-vigilant Anikin continues to hone his body and tune his mind thru the discipline of yoga. His favorite pose? "The Warrior." Rock-hard Abs. Well, wood-hard.
Our Minnesota State Bird has come home to roost! Often people wonder why the state bird of Minnesota is allowed to fly to the Gulf of Mexico every winter and still be considered a serious state bird. To those people I would like to point out that he is actually emulating a large segment of our state population. Up until the 1960's, the Minnesota State Bird was actually the Goldfinch, a bird that does stay native in the state all year around. The problem was that two other states had already claimed it as their state bird too. So someone suggested the Common Loon, and for some reason everyone agreed. I think the suggester was later found to be from Iowa...
