
"Someday Son, this will all be yours..."

Meet the American White Pelican. With arguably the largest wingspan of any bird in Minnesota: 108 inches, its bigger than the Golden Eagle, bigger than the Turkey Vulture, bigger than the all the Swans. That's a large bird.

A strange-looking bird is the Pelican, it's beak can hold more than it's belly-can. The hell-it-can!

This Eastern Bluebird was a vivid addition to our Spring Phenology / Photo Hike at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge's Wilkie Unit today.
